William Gibson posts about Modest Needs, a charity for people with, well, modest needs:

Been there. Both sides. Things happen and you just don’t have enough money and sometimes hope is scarce. A few hundred dollars — no strings attached — can help on a couple of levels. Financially, of course, but then there’s the compassion and caring level. This cultivates hope. And generousity to others. This is planting good seeds in the garden of life.
